Journey Versus Destination
Have you ever asked yourself, what am I doing, where am I going? What’s life (my life) really all about? Me, too!
I remember during a conversation with a friend, I forget what we were talking about, she made the comment “it’s not about the destination, but the journey”. Huh?? Got my wheels spinning! Yes, of course!
And here I am embarking on another profession, jewelry art. Many thoughts have crossed my mind. What if I’m not good at it, what if nobody appreciates my effort, what if it doesn’t sell?? So much pressure. All I really need to do is, is to enjoy the moment, the process of making. It’s my journey.
If we are so caught up in getting there, we will never enjoy the ride (and if it’s an unpleasant one, we will not learn from the experience).
So let’s take each day and put our best foot forward. Stay focused on the task at hand, be aware of what’s around,
smell the roses, so to speak, breathe, and enjoy the ride we’re living. We will reach our destination with full appreciation of what life offers.
