The Creative Process
Ahh, this is the fun part, how do I take a lump of clay and make it into something awesome? Well, it usually starts with a thought, idea or experience. The clay is rolled out, imagine cookie dough, to a certain thickness and textured, giving the clay it’s personality. The next step is to cut it out, giving the clay shape, the best way to do this is to use a template, so that it is uniform. Once dry, the clay is refined before it can be kiln fired. During this process, at very high temperature, the moisture and binder are burned out turning clay into 100% pure metal. It’s magical!
